Hey you,
How are things? I know, I know, it’s been a minute since I checked in. I hope you’re well and thriving. I really do. Are you eating well at least? Drinking water? Getting some sleep? Pooping regularly? These things seem trivial until neglected for too long and then you’ve got a big problem. So, make sure to stay on top of it, okay?
My birthday is on the 15th and my past self would have turned this letter into a “00 lessons learned since turning 00” but the present me prefers to keep shit moving. I already share lessons or tips as soon as I learn them because ain’t no time like the present. Instead, allow me to luxuriate in my gratitude era, I’m so thankful that it’s making me way too emotional so forgive me if the next paragraph is too cheesy.
Thank YOU for always supporting me. You’re reading the newsletter, listening to the podcast, participating in the reading challenge, engaging with me on socials, reading with the book club, contributing financially, mentally, spiritually, and shouting me out whenever you get the chance. Thank YOU so much for sticking with me, and I hope to keep bringing you joy whichever way I can because you fucking deserve it!
Okay, that’s enough about me, I got shy just sharing that. haha
In other news, Kdrama news to be precise, I just saw one episode of Destined With You on Netflix and it’s looking interesting, I’ll let you know if it’s a hit when I’m done. Recently saw Behind Your Touch and while I found it entertaining, I feel like it dragged too much. If you’ve watched Strong Girl Bong-Soon and enjoyed it, the sequel is now out on Netflix, with new episodes on the weekend. I have my eye on The Worst Of Evil because of my two husbands but that’s on Disney and I haven’t renewed my VPN so I can’t access it yet. Have you watched or are you watching any interesting Kdrama?
As for books?
Add me as your friend on Storygraph or follow me on Instagram or Twitter to be updated on my reads. I also do wrap-ups on the podcast at the end of the month. (but you already know that) The Indulgent Bibliophile Book Club is reading A Spell Of Good Things by Ayobami Adebayo and the book chat is on the 29th of October, 2023 at 5pm West African Time. Click HERE to register.
I’m currently hosting a photo challenge on Instagram and Twitter, check out the hashtag #SBPhotoChallenge2023
Sometimes, I fall into a posting slump so instead of working on a content calendar myself, I invited everyone to participate so that we can be each other’s accountability buddies. It has been so interesting and I have yet again added lots of books to my TBR, surprisingly I took some titles out of my TBR too. Thank you again for participating.
This has turned out to be longer than I expected it to be but before I go, here’s a fun question to ask your loved ones. If you suddenly discovered that I have a secret room in my house that I’ve been hiding from you, what would you assume is inside it? I think it’s a fun way of getting into your people’s heads.
Please remember to hydrate, eat well, sleep well, and poop well. Most importantly, don’t forget to give yourself the grace you always extend to others. You need it too, okay?
If you love my content, please do consider supporting me by buying me a cup of tea (I’ve finally found a way for non-Nigerian residents to contribute) or by giving me a shout-out on social media or in real life (prayers are fine too).
See you on the other side, Dearest.
XOXO
